"Shark
Liver Oil : Nature's Amazing Healer"
by Neil Solomon, MD et al
Southern Deep Shark Liver Oil is sourced from deep sea sharks caught in the
clean blue waters off the South Island of New Zealand where shark liver oil has
high naturally occurring concentrations of Alkylglycerols (AKGs). Physically
refined, not chemically processed, this product is a "renewable
resource" and GMP licensed by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority, and
complies with International standards. New Zealand has long held a very strong
environmental stance, often in the face of pressure from other countries such as
Japan and the U.S. and has steadfastly remained Nuclear-free and GE-free. In
addition, farming, harvesting and fishing is strictly controlled by government
agencies
Difference between Shark Liver Oil and Squalene:
Shark Liver Oil has three major components:
- Omega 3 Fatty Acids (DHA/EPA)
- Alkylglycerols (aka Alkoxyglycerols)
- Squalene
(plus vitamins A & D which are naturally occurring, and added vitamin E
[tocopherol] which is used as a preservative)
Squalene is just one of the compounds found in Shark Liver Oil.
